Standard Tipping Cylinders

 

Within our range we have a standard tipping cylinder, there are many sizes and combinations available from stock. This range of cylinder is constantly growing and the basic design can be used in a wide range of applications.

  • 3 Stage : 12/8/5
  • 4 Stage : 12/12/8/5

12/8/5 represents tonnage of each stage calculated @ 200 bar, i.e. 12 ton first stage, 8 ton on second stage and 5 ton on third stage.

General Specification

All cylinder stages are manufactured from high quality smooth bore tube and bright drawn bar. Inner tubes and rods can be chromed / nitroteced on request if being used in hazardous conditions.
Standard Features Throughout The Range
  1. Polyurethane piston seals are fitted to all stages for prolonged cylinder life.
  2. All piston seals are backed up with a wear ring for added support, this also assists with seal life by keeping extrusion gaps to a minimum.
  3. All gland nuts are fitted with a PTFE bronze filled bearing tape, chosen for it's extensive wear and low friction properties.
  4. Each stage when closing is being wiped by a special wiper ring which has been designed specifically to keep out the maximum amount of contamination.
  5. All gland nuts are headed for easy retraction, reducing servicing down time.

The cylinders on this chart can be supplied in most cases from stock. It is possible to develop further sizes and lengths using these combinations.
